I also have a problem. I'm not sure which side runs this Village
Kalevala - is Finland´s national epic. It is telling about Finnish and Karelian oral folklore and mythology. The Kalevala played an instrumental role in the development of the Finnish national identity, the intensification of Finland´s language strife and the growing sense of nationality that ultimately led to Finland´s independence from Russia in 1917. So it is quite important book for finnish people. ;) It is compiled by Elias Lönnrot and the first version of Kalevala was published in 1835.
We have one really old Kalevala at home where is original pictures drawn by Akseli Gallen-Kallela. I think it is really nice book so I wanted to take some pictures about it… ;)
